Summer News
15/08/2008

Summer may not be sizzling, but we have 4 scorching new DVDs to keep you entertained, especially if you are a show jumping or dressage enthusiast.

The review DVD of this year's FEI World Cup Dressage Finals in S'Hertogenbosch is unmissable.  It shows 15 Grand Prix tests including the winning test from Anky Van Grunsven and IPS Salinero, and superb tests from Isabell Werth and Kyra Kirkland.  Click on the trailer in our New Releases section to get a sneak preview.  Great Dressage Horses 2 also provides some great viewing, taking a look back at 10 of the greatest dressage horses that have been instrumental in propelling dressage up the popularity charts.  The horses fearuted are Bonfire, Gigolo, Farbenfroh, Beauvolais, Invasor, Brentina, Rusty, Blue Hors Matinee, Satchmo and Salinero with commentary by Richard Davison.

For Show Jumping Fans, the Rolex FEI World Cup Final 2008 in Goteborg is compulsive viewing, with top riders such as Michael Whitaker and Ludgar Beerbaum battling it out and jumping 5 of the largest and most technical show jump courses ever built.  But it was one of the world's leading female show jumpers, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, and her magical performance on Shutterfly that secured her win at this fabulous competition.

For those looking for inspiration and advice, we have added another title to out "Enjoying" series of training programmes.  Enjoying Show Jumping with Tim Stockdale is ideal for riders who want to work on their technique and improve their skill at home before competitions.  Tim goes through a sequence of exercises starting with flatwork, introducing flying changes, introducing poles, grid work, line work at canter, riding turns and other special exercises before finally putting it all together to jump a course.  The Enjoying series also includes Enjoying Riding with Tina Sederholm and Enjoying Dressage with Richard Davison.

Good Luck to all our riders in the Olympic Games, and look out for the review programmes out soon!

We will also be at Burghley Horse Trials - visit us in the World of the Horse pavilion.
